Today the YQL team released a unified YQL console. They added ways you can customize the Console, which hopefully will make your life a little easier. Now it will remember the state you left it in (sidebars and XML/JSON output preference). Also the layout has changed so tables are now on the left column and more space to browse. As a part of the release, the YQL editor was rebuilt using the YUI3 Apps Framework. You can now dynamically save, load, and delete your data, without a full page reload.
There are other updates, including an upgrade to the CodeMirror version and a few new plugins that make writing YQL tables even easier.
